Creating Habitats in Boyce Park

Agency: Boyce Park Nature Center and Greenhouse

Description: Volunteers are needed to help plant annuals, perennials, and herbs from the Boyce Park Greenhouse (organically grown) containers to various habitat sites and demonstration gardens. Volunteers will also help with plant selection for the growing areas. Mulching the organic plants will complete the botanical activities.

If possible, volunteers can bring their favorite gardening tools (trowels, rakes, long-handle shovels, gardening gloves). Be sure to dress appropriately for outdoor work!

The minimum age to volunteer for this project is 10 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
