Description:
Help the Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) with crowd control at the 6th annual “HUNDRED ACRES MANOR” in South Park. Volunteers create a smooth arrival into the parking lot and help maintain order for hundreds of patrons as they arrive to enjoy this frightful Halloween attraction, which runs September 18th to November 1st, each Wednesday through Sunday.
Funds raised by this all-volunteer, Haunted House support the mission of HCEF to serve as a voice for homeless children in Allegheny County and to ensure that they are afforded “equal access to the same educational opportunities and experiences as their peers.”
Interests: If you like to spend an evening outside with a team of spirited volunteers and want to make a difference in the life of the homeless children of Allegheny County, this project is for you and your group.
Skills: Ability to move around outside. Please wear athletic shoes or boots and weather appropriate clothing. This is a rain-or-shine activity.
Minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old.
